Owners Dani and Ed Holder began The Enchanted Kitchen in 2010 by vending Dani's award-winning jams at local events. It wasn't long until they were moving into their first tiny, 800 sq. ft. brick-and-mortar store on Branchview Drive in Concord.

Fast forward to 2019 when they moved into a 6,000 sq. ft. space in the heart of downtown Concord.

In Honor & Memory of Co-Founder Dani Gauntz
The Enchanted Kitchen 'Yea Ole Apothecary' came about as a dream of Deborah 'Dani' Gauntz. In the beginning she combined two passions that were passed down to her.
Dani’s first was a love and talent for canning unique Jams, Jellies and Preserves. After winning many ribbons and a Ball award at the Cabarrus County Fair and then ribbons and a Best Of Show at the NC State Fair she decided to have her kitchen inspected by the state so the she could legally produce and sale her wares.
The second comes from family traditions and recipes that were passed down for at least six generations. Dani is a sixth generation Apothecary, and the family ways were taught to her by her grandmother and great aunt. These include a vast knowledge and natural awareness of the uses of herbs in creams, lotions, salves, tinctures, teas and many other products that she spends hours pouring her natural ability and love into.
After building up an inventory while vending she was able to open the shop she had always wanted. Which She opened in 2010. Sadly, Dani lost her battle with cancer in late August of 2023. However, her spirit and legacy live on in The Enchanted Kitchen. Today, the store continues under the ownership of Edney Holder, Dani's husband and co-founder, in the manner as Dani wanted. As Dani is still watching over us.
Aji Mudgara Kali-Ma began his Spiritual Journey in the Autumn of 2005. When he met his Shamballa & Usui Master Teacher, Jane. She was not teaching at the time, but decided to offer a love gift to teach Aji Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healing and Usui Reiki. Aji became a Master Teacher in Shamballa Multi-Dimensional Healing, Usui Reiki, and Tibetan Vajrayana Reiki. He now has over 20 years of experience as an Intuitive Spirit Medium, Reiki Grandmaster, and Certified Master Crystal Healer. He is also an internationally accredited Reiki Trainer.

Aji is an Eclectic Witch, High Priest, and Ordained Minister, who walks with the Goddess Kali-Ma. He has developed a unique approach utilizing the Spirit of Tarot, Oracle, and other Divination methods. A Triple Virgo, he is a highly intuitive Spirit Medium who as the ability to communicate with the Divine, Angels, Ancestors, Spirit Guides, and Guardians of the person he is working with as well as his own. His readings are compassionate and direct, offering guidance and understanding of your present as well as your future Life Path.

Stormy the Weird is a practicing Witch of 29 years. Her background is in Wicca & Witchcraft. The last 8 years Stormy has been a practicing Völva or Nordic Witch. Völva was a woman in the Viking age who practiced magick, known as Seidr. The word Seidr litterlly means "to bind". A Völva often had a special role within the society and would often have close ties to the leaders of her Clan.
